The Birthday Party

Wow! March 1st was an awesome day. Jasper's First Birthday party was a lot of fun for everyone. His Uncle Michael made him an impressive and beautiful cake, which was also delicious. Jasper was astonished by the force of everyone singing to him in unison. He was so into all the excitement and commotion that he hardly slept - he only took one 45 min nap before his party - but handled the lack of sleep with delirious joy. After the majority of our friends left, we opened his presents with the small group of family and friends that stayed longer, including his Grandmother via video in New Mexico. He received many wonderful gifts, the lucky boy! And, he walked the longest distance yet! After practicing walking with his new push walker, he was thrilled to show off his new skill by walking from Daddy to Mommy and back again- about 6 feet each way - all on his own!
